Filoli: Growing Our Shared American Landscape

This year, marking the 250th anniversary of the United States and National Public Gardens Day, Filoli opened submissions on the theme of “Growing Our Shared American Landscape,” a way of honoring “the beauty of public gardens, the richness of our diverse cultural roots, and the collective stewardship that shapes our nation.” Submissions closed April 17th, on International Haiku Poetry Day, and it is a pleasure to now share the ten semi-finalists. Chosen for their craft and connection to the theme, the poems range from the radiant to the tenderly unexpected.

My blog post goes live today in Filoli.org/blog!
