Nature and Health Symposium

The Northwest Nature and Health Symposium takes place on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the University of Washington Intellectual House in Seattle. Invited speakers include The Nature of Our Times co-editor Aileen Cassinetto. Aileen Cassinetto is an Academy of American Poets Laureate Fellow and Yerba Buena Center for the Arts awardee for her contributions in building regenerative and equitable communities through poetry. She is the author of An Immigrant’s Guide to Navigating Borders and Bodies of Water (2025), co-editor of Dear Human at the Edge of Time: Poems on Climate Change in the United States (2023), and co-editor of The Nature of Our Times: Poems on America’s Lands, Waters, Wildlife, and Other Natural Wonders (2025).
