Celebrate California Poet Laureate Lee Herrick and California Youth Poet Laureate Chloe Chou in the South San Francisco City Council Chambers on January 25, 2025 at 6pm. This event will feature poetry readings, a solo jazz performance by renowned saxophonist Francis Wong, and a Q&A session. Lee Herrick’s new book In Praise of Late Wonder: New and Selected Poems will be available for sale, and he will be signing copies after the program.
Additional readings will be performed by current South San Francisco Youth Poet-in-Residence Andrada Tomisinet, and former SSF Youth Poet-in-Residence Elizabeth Wong. Introductions will be provided by San Mateo County Poets Laureate Emerita Caroline Goodwin, Lisa Rosenberg, and Aileen Cassinetto.
Refreshments will be provided.
